Best of The Divine Feminine Spotlight
Welcome to the Transformation Goddess: Divine Feminine Spotlight.

The intention of The Divine Feminine Spotlight series is to share transformational stories of women who have learned to walk in beauty, with the strength, courage, and pleasure of claiming their feminine sovereignty.

Today it’s my pleasure to introduce you to The Goddess Mentor, Kim Turcotte.

Kim Turcotte - The Goddess Mentor
Kim works with women who do too much and find themselves overwhelmed, yet under-satisfied with their lives. Kim introduces her clients to the power of the Goddess and the importance of living in alignment with their natural cycles. In doing so, she teaches them how they can take back their lives without guilt and find balance, as well as that missing something they’ve been searching for.

Divine Feminine Spotlight conversations can be enjoyed by using the player below, or easily downloaded to your iPhone, Android phone or mp3 player via the Transformation Goddess Podcast at iTunes & Stitcher.

Please share a life-altering transition and transformation you’ve experienced in your life.

I was attending an event in Las Vegas with a friend. We were given these cards that had 9 or 10 questions designed to really make us think about our lives and businesses. I got to question #6 and everything in my life changed. The questions was, “What do you want to be known for 25 years from now?”.

Up until that point, I had really kept my Goddess self in the closet, I was building sacred websites for clients in the holistic and creative fields, which is work I love. But, when I got to that question, it was then that I realized that I didn’t want to be known as a website designer 25 years from now, I wanted to be known as a leader in the Goddess Spirituality movement.

When I got home from that conference, I started working on The Goddess Mentor and haven’t looked back since.

How do you relate to your body, sexuality, and power?

I see my body as a sacred gift from the Goddess, I have struggled for years with my weight and only in the last couple of years have I really embraced my beauty and sensuality regardless of a few extra pounds.

I was fortunate to grow up with a mom who talked to my sister and I about sex, she made it OK for us to explore our sexuality without guilt. I have encountered so many women who are afraid to even admit that they like sex, because of the shame that they carry from their upbringing. Sex is another wonderful gift from the Goddess, it’s all about feeling comfortable in your own skin and allowing yourself to feel pleasure without guilt.

What are some of your favorite sacred feminine rituals?

One of my favorite sacred feminine rituals is turning all of the lights in the bathroom, bringing in a couple of candles, lighting my favorite incense and taking hot, steamy shower with organic homemade soaps. I usually bring a giant quarts crystal that I have into the shower with me and place it at my feet. As I envision myself washing away the stress, I also envision being refilled by the sacred earth gem. I always feel absolutely fabulous when I am through.

And of course, I love building altars and spending time at my altar, listening to my inner wisdom and journaling. It is easy for us to avoid spending time with ourselves in our busy world, but my altar helps me to remember to do it on a regular basis.

How else do you embody being a sovereign goddess?

I think one of the things that I’ve really stepped into is being me and asking for what I want and need without feeling guilty. As women, I feel like we are so conditioned to put everyone else’s needs first, that we often lose ourselves in the process.

When we lose ourselves, we forget who we really are and what we really want. We start to live for others and what they might want for us. I learned the hard way that this is no way to live. I am so much better about speaking up for myself and holding space for my dreams to come into my reality. I know now that I am not being selfish for wanting something different for myself than what my family or spouse might want for me, and that is perfectly OK!

It’s kind of funny, my relationships are actually so much better now that I am honest about who I am and what I want. There is a certain level of respect I think that comes along with standing in your power and having sovereignty over your life.

What Comes up for You When you Hear the Phrase: Walk in Beauty?

When I read the question, my mind immediately flashed to me walking in the woods in the fall. The trees are ablaze with color, the birds are chirping and life feels immensely peaceful.

I find comfort in beauty in nature, so anytime I hear that phrase, I always see myself in outside enjoying the overwhelming beauty of my surroundings.

What Inspired You to Create Seasons of the Goddess?

My inspiration for my Seasons of the Goddess was the transformation I have experienced in my own life by following the turning of the Wheel of the Year and the wisdom I found when I started walking an earth-centered spiritual path.

Living in alignment with nature and learning to tap into the energy of the current season has really helped me to find myself. Everything I talked about in the question about sovereignty was a result of me working with different energies throughout the turning of the seasons. I see the journey as a sacred spiral, it continues to go round and round and if you choose to, you can move up that spiral and grow with each turn.

I want to support women everywhere on their own journey of self discovery, growth and transformation. I want them to know that regardless of their upbringing, their religion or their life experiences, they can transform and grow by using this wonderful method.

Tell us about the free gift you have for our circle.

Because altars have had such a profound effect on my own health, wellbeing and spiritual growth, I’ve decided to offer this course as a gift to my Goddess community. I want every woman, just like you to have the opportunity to experience the healing power of taking time for YOU!

Altars don’t have to be elaborate or feel overwhelming to create; they simply need to be created with intention and focused on a specific outcome or goal. I invite you to start actively working with altars in and around your home to help you begin to bring you physically closer to the Goddess, her Wisdom and her Magick.

The Creating Altar Kit Contains:

Creating Altars

-A list of the four main types of altars I work with.
-The process I use to create my own altars to support you through the exercise of creating your altar.
-A sample space clearing ritual and altar dedication ceremony.
-An audio where I share the importance of having a Personal Power Altar, and why this is the most powerful first step you can take on your Goddess Journey.
-An Elemental Correspondences handout.
