Welcome to the Transformation Goddess Divine Feminine Spotlight.
The intention of The Divine Feminine Spotlight is to share transformational stories of women who have learned to walk in beauty, with the strength, courage, and pleasure of claiming their feminine sovereignty.
Today it’s my honor to introduce you to the incredible Sheri Ponzi.
Sheri is a an artist, magic-maker, and sacred space holder. She believes that the world needs *your* light and loves nothing more than showing women how brilliant and powerful they are. She loves the ocean, glitter, pink roses and all things rose-flavored.
Sheri is a bit of a transformation junkie and has lost track of the programs and trainings she’s done – from a Master’s Degree to a 16-month shamanic training program to several types of hands-on-healing – and everything in-between.
Divine Feminine Spotlight conversations can be enjoyed by clicking on the player below, or easily downloaded to your iPhone or mp3 player via the Transformation Goddess Podcast at iTunes.
“Everything has shifted. Everything.”– Sheri Ponzi

Please share a Significant Transformation you’ve experienced in the last 12 months.
In addition to holding sacred space for women, I’ve been secretly yearning to be an artist for years. It seemed to be an impossible dream, but it persisted, lurking in my heart for decades.
From 2010 until October of 2013 I was very ill. There were many days where I slept between 12 and 18 hours, on occasion not even having the energy to shower.
During this time I discovered painting and I felt a light come on in my heart, but it was frustrating because this illness kept me from doing much of anything. I would paint for a minute or two and then sleep again. I had no energy for anything else, but I so looked forward to those precious minutes of painting.
I tried everything I could find in order to heal – regular doctors, alternative medicine, dietary changes, neurofeedback, shamanic healing — everything.
And then last year I was fortunate enough to find a magical business coach (which is really a paltry description of his work) that changed everything. In a 9-hour experience designed to plug me back into who I truly am, to the core of what I bring to everything I do – the illness left.
Since that day I have not only had NO exhaustion, none, but I have steadfastly applied what I discovered that day and now in addition to my sacred work with women, I am making my living as an artist.
Everything has shifted. Everything.
And, to me, it all speaks to the power of living from our truth and being connected to, and acting from the truth of who we are.
The illness required me to let go of who I used to be. Completely.
That experience, coupled with standing in the truth of who I am, has allowed me to step into the life of my dreams.
How do you relate to your body, sexuality and power?
I am still in the process of healing from the effects of being basically immobile for 3+ years – and some trauma that occurred before that time.
I am very clear that this is the next step of my healing process. I am slowly reclaiming power in my physical body and I believe that my sexual self is a powerful vehicle for this transformation.
This is my learning edge. Right here. Right now.
It is actually why I shared the photo I shared, Me, with all this weight I am carrying, yet still being “light” and carefree. It is a good reminder for me.
What are your favorite sacred feminine rituals?
I have a beautiful altar on my desk with statues of The Divine Mother, crystals, candles, and figures that represent my guides. I love to light incense and offer gratitude each morning, calling n my guides and spiritual teams to open the path, support me, and allow me to be in alignment with who I truly am.
How do you embody being a sovereign Goddess?
I am more and more comfortable being my BIGGEST self and shining that into the world as an example of what is possible. I am learning to say NO to anything that isn’t “HELL YES!”.
What was your inspiration for Painting Herself Into Being?
Painting Herself Into Being grew out of my own process in opening to my creative self. There was a HUGE reservoir of energy that flooded me with its power once I said YES to painting. And I have seen it again and again and again in the women who also say YES to their creative selves.
We are all creative beings and it is a shame that we are too often made to believe that we aren’t. People painted long before there was art school to tell them “the correct way” to do it. I want to help women reclaim their creative energy. Even if you never intend to be a professional artist there is SO MUCH to be gained by letting The Goddess flow through you in the form of a creative practice.
