Walk In Beauty @TransformationGoddess

Thanks for swinging by Transformation Goddess!

I am creating a new love offering called Walking in Beauty. Want to be part of it? All you need to do is share what “walking in beauty” means to you.

Scroll down to see what some of my friends and circle sisters have already shared. Your choice to chime in tells me I have permission to publish what you share.

Random backstory… I first became aware of the ‘Beauty Way’ and ‘Beauty, Eh?’ via the a Canadian sketch, “The Great White North” featuring fictional brothers Bob and Doug Mackenzie. Some of the writing in the skit was extremely catchy, and for a time, ‘Beauty, Eh?’ was very much a part of my teenage vernacular when I experienced something I liked.

My personal practice of walking in beauty began after my daughter was born in 2000 and was amplified during an intense 3o day Yoga teacher training experience. Practicing Yoga, Joy Spotting® and reading Shambhala Sun (cover to cover since 2006) helped me become aware of all of the great and crushing beauty in the world and in my own heart. Since then, I’ve been deepening my spiritual practice as a student of Shamanic teachings.

I feel deep gratitude and so much respect for the Native American people who inspired a deeper curiosity about living in a beauty way. “hozho naasha is Navajo for “To walk in the Beauty way.” To walk in beauty is to know the goodness of all creation.“hozho” – means “natural order.” The term natural order is temporal time, cardinal directions, cycles of seasons. When we travel through life in right relationship to the elements of the four cardinal directions way we are walking in beauty.”
– Patricia Anne Davis

Enjoy how some of my friends describe walking in beauty. You’re welcome to leave a comment and add your voice to the mix!

I do this everyday by reflecting on how I may have gone wrong and how it needs to be corrected tomorrow. -Kristi Love

To walk in beauty is to to be alive, to experience all that life brings no matter how we choose to live it. All life serves a purpose. We are all beacons for each other. And there is beauty in everyone and everything whether we choose to see it or not.

It would be easy to say that to walk in beauty means to lead with love and kindness and to simply embrace the magnificent truth of who we are; to walk with our heads held high and know that whatever life brings, “we’ve got this.”

But the truth is, there is beauty in the struggle, in awareness as there is in the lack thereof, every moment is sacred as is every beautiful breath.

I walk in beauty when I remember WHO I AM, when I allow myself to be ALL THAT I AM. I walk in beauty when I walk with the little girl in me and the holy mother, the princess and the Queen, as full and grand and deep as the ocean, and as soft and sweet as a passing breeze.
